The Eagles competed in their third straight NAIA National Championships!
Women's Swimming and Diving-CH - Tue, Mar. 11, 2014

Oklahoma City – The Robert Morris Women's Swimming and Diving team competed in the 34th Annual NAIA National Championships that were held from March 5th – 9th at the Oklahoma City Community College Natatorium.  The Eagles did place as a team but had four relays and an individual compete in events.

The competition began for the Eagles in the 200-Yard Medley Relay on Thursday, March 6th, and the team of Caitlyn Whang, Quyn Gardner, Veronica Broggini, and Rachel Steig finished in 22nd place, dropping their time by one second for a season's best 2:05.33.  Later in the day, Caitlyn Whang competed in the 50-Yard Freestyle, finishing in 46th place with a time of 25.96.

The Eagles raced in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay in the morning of Friday, March 7th, and the team of Caitlyn Whang, Quyn Gardner, Veronica Broggini, and Rachel Steig swam a time of 1:52.17, which was good for 21st place.  Also that morning, the team of Caitlyn Whang, Quyn Gardner, Veronica Broggini, and Adriana Izquierdo took 18th place in the 400-Yard Medley Relay with a season best time of 4:25.01, dropping an impressive six seconds of its previous best time.

RMU closed out the competition on Saturday, March 8th with the relay team of Caitlyn Whang, Quyn Gardner, Veronica Broggini, and Adriana Izquierdo taking 21st place in the 400-Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:58.84, besting the team's season best time by four seconds.

This was the third consecutive appearance in the NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships for the Eagles.
