Chicago – The National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) announced that Robert Morris' Meghan Brady has been named NWLL Player of the Week for the week ending March 3rd. Meghan is the first recipient of the award for the 2013 NWLL season.
Meghan, a freshman midfielder from St. Charles, red-shirted last season after suffering an ACL injury but she has started this season off strong helping the Eagles to a perfect 3-0 record on opening weekend. Brady recorded 11 goals, 18 draw controls, three ground balls, two assists, and caused three turnovers in RMU's wins over Lindenwood University-Belleville, Missouri Baptist University, and Midland University (Neb.).
The award was nominated and voted on by multiple coaches in the NWLL.
