Chicago – The 2012-2012 CSCHL post-season awards were announced and Robert Morris Men's Gold Head Coach Chico Adrahtas was named the league's Coach of the Year. In addition, Eagles Christopher Cimoch, Andy DiCristofaro, and Andrew Montague were named to the CSCHL All-Conference Second Team.
Coach Adrahtas (pictured below) led the Eagles to a program record 28 wins and the team was rated as high as #2 in the ACHA Polls this season. RMU was an impressive 17-7 against teams that qualified for the ACHA National Tournament and held a 3-1 record when playing the top rated team this season. In addition, the Eagles advanced to its third straight ACHA National Tournament.
Junior forward Christopher Cimoch led RMU in scoring this season, registering 50 points on 20 goals and 30 assists in 37 games played. His point total was good enough for 32nd in the country this season.
Junior defenseman Andrew Montague anchored the Eagles' defense which allowed only 75 goals scored this season in 37 games played. Montague had five goals and 22 assists for 27 points on the year.
Sophomore goaltender Andy DiCristofaro was impressive between the pipes this season with a 2.05 goals against average and a 92% save percentage. In addition, he held a 18-5-2 record and registered four shut-outs in 27 games played this season.
