Women's Soccer-CH - Sun, Oct. 1, 2017

The Robert Morris Illinois Women's Soccer team fell to Olivet Nazarene University 2-0 on Saturday September 30th in Bourbannais, Ill.

Both teams had opportunities in the first half.  In the 9th minute Detzi Reveles (SO/Chicago, Ill.) got a shot off that was saved.  Alisa Ebeling got off two shots that were both saved, and Sam Sparks (FR/Rochester, Ohio) got a shot off at the end of the half saved.  Adrienne Giglio (SR/Belvidere, Ill.) stopped all three shots she was in the first half, sending the match to halftime 0-0.

To start the second half, the ball did not bounce in the Eagles favor as an own goal gave ONU a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute.  Lauren Campbell (SR/Rockford, Ill.) looked to answer one minute later but the shot was saved.  ONU got an insurance goal in the 81st minute to take a 2-0 lead.  RMU was unable to solve the ONU defense falling 2-0.

Detzi Reveles, Lauren Campbell, Alisa Ebeling, and Sam Sparks had two shots each.  Adrienne Giglio made 9 saves.

RMU is now 3-6-1 overall and 2-2 in CCAC action.

Eagles will be back in action at Morris Field, Wednesday October 4th versus Holy Cross College at 6:00pm.
