Robert Morris University Illinois Director of Athletics Jared Williamson has announced the appointment of Chip Seiple as the new Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at the University for the 2017-2018 season.

Coach Seiple brings more than 25 years of lacrosse experience to RMU.  For the last two years, he was the head coach at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, IL.  Prior to that, Coach Seiple was head coach at Notre Dame College Prep in Niles IL, where he led the team to its best record in the program's history.  "I am extremely excited for this opportunity with Robert Morris University and look forward to building the lacrosse program in size and success."

"Chip's experience with Chicagoland Lacrosse and his ability to build these programs up in numbers and on field success made him the right fit for our program" stated Director of Athletics Jared Williamson. 

While coaching at the high school level, Coach Seiple was also a program director with Team ONE Lacrosse Club, coaching youth teams and overseeing the developmental programs.  He has also been assistant coach to several programs including Glenbrook South (including their 2000 IL High School State Championship season), Westview High School (San Diego, CA), and the University of San Diego women's club team, where his wife was the head coach.

Coach Seiple played at Loyola Academy, appearing in 4 state championships, and at Miami University, where he was a three-year captain.  He currently lives in Wilmette, IL, with his wife and two daughters, both of whom are very active in athletics, his older daughter plays ice hockey and soccer and his younger daughter is a gymnast.
