The senior is one of five repeat honorees after making the second team in 2016!

AUSTIN, Texas – The 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America© College Division Softball Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), was announced and Joey Crockett (SR/Joliet, Ill.) of Robert Morris Illinois earned first team recognition.  Crockett is one of five repeat honorees after making the second team in 2016.

The senior capped off her outstanding collegiate career as RMU's all-time homerun leader with 20 and was second on the team in 2017 with three round trippers.  Crockett led the Eagles this season with 14 doubles and 29 runs scored, while she was also second in batting average (.372), hits (45), runs batted in (21), total bases (72), and slugging percentage (.595).  The Joliet, Illinois native was also a CCAC All-Conference Second Team selection this year.

There are five student-athletes with a G.P.A. of 4.0. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® first team boasts a combined G.P.A. of 3.89, while the CoSIDA Academic All-America® second team has a combined G.P.A. of 3.76. The overall G.P.A. for this year's team is 3.83.

The College Division Academic All-America® softball teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.
