Judson opened the scoring with three runs without a hit in the top of the first inning, using two RMU errors, three walks, and a wild pitch to get its runs across against RMU starter Brandon Hickey (JR/Monee, Ill.).

The Eagles came back with four runs in the bottom half of the inning with Jalen Cox (JR/Sturgis, Mich.) belting a two-run homer to start the scoring after a Jimmy Smyth (FR/Oak Forest, Ill.) leadoff walk.  The home run was his team leading fifth of the year.  Chase Armstrong (SR/Lexington, Ky.) made it back-to-back home runs for RMU, hitting his third of the season to tie the game at 3-3.  Later in the inning, Matt Cole (JR/Richton Park, Ill.) singled, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and scored on a base hit by Matt Vitulli (SR/Bartlett, Ill.) to give the Eagles a 4-3 advantage.

In the top of the second inning, Judson tied the game with another run without a hit.  Two hit batters, a walk, and two wild pitches enabled the run to score to make it a 4-4 ballgame.  Judson took a 6-4 lead in the fourth inning with two runs on two hits, but RMU tied the game at 6-6 with two runs of its own in the bottom of the sixth.  Vitulli came through for the Eagles in the inning with a two-run homer, his first of the year, to even the game.

Judson scored the next three runs of the game with a solo run in the seventh and two insurance runs in the ninth to lead 9-6.  Joe Dahlke (JR/Lake Villa, Ill.) led off the bottom of the ninth with his second home run of the year, but unfortunately the Eagles could not get any other runs, losing the regular season finale 9-7.

Matt Vitulli was 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in, while Tom Jager Jr. (FR/Oak Forest, Ill.) suffered the loss in relief to fall to 2-6 on the year.  The freshman allowed three runs, with only one earned, in 2 1/3 innings pitched on three hits to go with two strikeouts.
