The Eagles had a strong start to the game, taking a 10-3 lead behind five points from Victoria Harris (SR/Bellwood, Ill.).  The Wolves fought back late in the opening quarter, cutting the RMU advantage to one-point at 13-12, but the Eagles closed out the stanza with a 15-12 lead on a jumper by Aaliyah Irby (SR/Chicago, Ill.).

RMU extended its lead to 21-14 to begin the second quarter with Jannah Mahmoud (JR/Oak Lawn, Ill.) scoring back-to-back layups, but Cardinal Stritch battled back to tie the game at 23-23 and take its first lead at 25-23 with 3:51 to go in the first half.  Mahmoud tied the game on a jumper and was fouled on the play, hitting her free throw for a three-point play and putting RMU back up at 26-25 with 2:53 to go.  However, the Wolves scored the final six points of the half to lead 31-26 at the break.

The game stayed close for most of the third quarter with the Wolves holding a slight lead, but Cardinal Stritch opened an 11-point lead at 47-36 with 1:50 remaining.  Mahmoud then closed out the period with five straight points to pull the Eagles back into the game, trailing 47-41 heading into the game's final quarter.

It appeared that the Wolves once again took control of the contest, building a 62-49 lead with 4:42 to play, but the Eagles didn't give up and made a late run to cut the margin to 64-57 with 1:15 remaining in the game.  Unfortunately, RMU was unable to score any additional points, losing to the 16th ranked Wolves.

Jannah Mahmoud, this week's CCAC Player of the Week, scored a game-high 22 points, while Victoria Harris added 14 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks.  Aaliyah Irby chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
