WHITING, Ind. – The fifth ranked Robert Morris Illinois Men's Volleyball team remained undefeated with a straight-set (25-15, 25-14, 25-17) victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph in CCAC Conference action on Tuesday, February 14th. The Eagles are now 3-0 in the CCAC and 8-0 overall this year.

The opening set was even early on at 3-3, but the Eagles broke that tie and went on to build a 12-6 advantage. The Crimson Wave cut the RMU lead to 14-11, but the Eagles scored the next four points to regain control and went on to win the set 25-15.
RMU took an 8-3 lead to begin the second set and never looked back, cruising to a 25-14 win to take a 2-0 match lead. In the third set, the two teams were deadlocked a 4-4 and RMU once again took control with the Eagles taking the lead for good, winning 25-17 to sweep the conference match.
Nick Spallina (JR/Chicago, Ill.) had 10 kills on a .692 hitting percentage, while Erin Lee (FR/Homewood, Ill.) and Ryan Roycroft (JR/Des Plaines, Ill.) both added seven kills each with Lee posting a .600 attacking percentage and Roycroft adding five blocks. Setter Jimmy Dwyer (JR/Oak Lawn, Ill.) registered 33 assists and Timothy Carey (JR/Oceanside, N.Y.) had 13 digs in the win.
The Eagles hit the road to Adrian, Michigan to take on Siena Heights University at 6pm on Thursday, February 16th and then participate in the Lourdes University Tournament over the weekend. On Friday, February 17th, RMU will square off against seventh ranked Warner University (Fla.) at 2pm and then eight ranked Missouri Valley College at 4pm. The Eagles take on ninth ranked Lourdes at 10am and Lawrence Tech at 2pm on Saturday, February 18th.
