The junior forward led the Eagles to their first three conference wins of the year!

CHICAGO – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards and Jannah Mahmoud (JR/Oak Lawn, Ill.) of Robert Morris Illinois was named the CCAC Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 8th.

Mahmoud led the Eagles to their first three conference wins of the season, averaging a double-double over the three games with 12.7 points and 16.3 rebounds per game, while also posting 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks per contest. 

The junior forward opened the week with one of two double-doubles, scoring 12 points and grabbing 19 rebounds in a 73-65 win over South Loop rival Roosevelt University on January 3rd.  Mahmoud followed that effort with eight points, 14 rebounds, and three assists in a 76-68 road victory over Saint Ambrose (Iowa) on January 5th and then registered another double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds in a 57-44 win over Holy Cross College (Ind.) on January 7th.
