The Eagles moved up five spots from their #10 preseason rating after opening the season 3-0!

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Women's Lacrosse League (NWLL) released its Week #1 Coaches' Poll and Robert Morris University is rated fifth in the latest edition.  The Eagles moved up five spots from its rating of #10 in the NWLL Preseason Poll.

Robert Morris started the 2013 season with a perfect 3-0 start on opening weekend.  The Eagles earned a pair of blow-out victories on Saturday, March 2nd over Lindenwood University-Belleville 24-3 and Missouri Baptist University 18-5.  RMU then defeated Midland University (Neb.) 13-12 on Sunday, March 3rd to close out the weekend of conference play.

Shorter University (Ga.) and Savannah College of Art & Design (Ga.) are tied for the top spot in the poll, while Indiana Tech and Aquinas College (Mich.) round out the top five.  The poll was voted upon by head coaches in the 15-team league.

The Eagles are scheduled for their home opener on Saturday, March 9th with a rematch with Lindenwood University-Belleville.  Game time is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. at Redmond Athletic Complex in Bensenville, but fans should check www.rmueagles.com for scheduling updates due to the recent snowstorm.
